Hi. I was really happy you sent email and posted in Facebook and thought about
me as usual. Pretty much spent the day doing my favorite things. Went out with
Akiko and the little dude to an Israeli restaurant close to Nara Park. I really
like the food. Then we played in the park and went out for coffee and a shop
similar to Starbucks. Then we came home and got kinda drunk and watched a couple
of movies. You know I realize you were such a good kid. Recently Shai is driving
me crazy. He whines and complains and is becoming very difficult. Would be nice
if you could stay with us and you and I could watch him together. Really
thinking about visiting when you can. I love you and miss you very much. Send

Hi. I am still amazed you guys are moving for a few years. It turns out you are
moving to a country which Akiko really wants to visit. Maybe we will simply move
in with you guys. Kidding, um maybe. Japan continues to work at getting back to
normal. Pretty amazing to watch the news since we are in the same country and
basically unaffected directly from all the recent events. Was really hoping you
guys were going to visit but this country is not high on the list of vacation
spots for people anymore. Shai is becoming quite difficult these days. At least
it is getting warmer and can take him outside and wear him out. Akiko continues
to work a lot of hours. Now the Internet sites are generating some decent
income. Finally getting around to working on the home education site. Now around
a thousand pages. Anyway we are thinking about you guys a lot. Send email when

Message - Dad. I'm glad you had a great day on your birthday! I'm almost
done with my semester; I have about 6 more weeks to go. I'm thinking about
taking a few classes over the summer so that I can graduate at the end of this
year instead of next Spring. I'm still not sure if I can because I need to be a
full-time student when I renew my health insurance with the county. I don't know
what I'll do, but the longest I have in school will be another year. Hopefully
I'll be able to visit soon, especially since I'm almost done with school. I love

April 10, 2011 - Yoshino Mountain - Hanami. Made
the annual trip up Yoshino Mountain to see the cherry
blossoms in bloom, known in Japanese as hanami. The trees
traverse the entire mountain and due to the differences in
elevation, you can see the cherry blossoms in various stages
of bloom.

Went to Yoshino for hanami last weekend and planning many things this Summer

Hey. I am not going to be able to let you stay at the condo now. I received
email from the dude and actually the Japanese guy said no about you staying.
Actually neither was good about it since they would need to move many things out
of the room where you would be staying. Hopefully you can understand about this.

I'm doing well, but tired from school. I just turned in a 50+ page paper and did
a 30 minute presentation with my marketing group. We've been working on it
non-stop for the past week. I just have one more group project/presentation to
go, finals, then I'm done. I'm sorry I didn't respond to your email sooner. I've
had my school email logged in and haven't check this email for a while. I went
to my professors office hours yesterday and a Japanese girl came in. I forgot
where she was from, but I told her about you and how you speak Japanese fluently
and live near Nara Park. She said it's really pretty there and you get to pet
deer. But how are you doing? I was so happy to check my email and she that you
had emailed me. I miss you and love you a lot.

April 30, 2011 - House - Hanami Party. Went
to the hundred yen store and bought some fake cherry
blossoms for this hanami, aka flower viewing, party. It got
a few laughs from friends. |
